SPECTRA-DUO PLATINUM

Our New innovative coating ultra blue front surface HMC with blue filter protect properties with advanced hydrophobic and full UV-400 protection.

On the back side a green HMC for outstanding anti reflection and easy to clean with anti-static properties.

The lacquer designed by our technicians will match all mid index lenses from 1.5 to 1.74, On occasions Newton Rings may well show through certain High Index lenses however our lacquer will minimise this common fault.

MIRROR COATINGS

All the lenses have dielectric mirror coatings with standard hydrophobic clean coat in various colours. The mirror coatings are applied on to the front side of the lens and can be combined with or without an AR coating to the inside.

Please note: To achieve full UV-protection the coatings must be applied to high index lenses like 1.6, 1.67 or lenses with additional UV-60 protection.

The Spectra-Blue reduces glare and flickers while increasing visibility by cutting blue light. Glare caused by the dispersal of indirect light is also reduced and the clear sense of vision is improved Spectra-Blue reflects and reduces blue light by approximately 11%.

We can put a dip hard-coat on to all the index of lenses 1.5 / 1.6 / 1.66 / 1.74.

Spectra M.A.R

“SPECTRA” is a cold process, i.e. the substrates are not heated up during the coating procedure. An IPC (ion pre-cleaning) stage is followed by the deposit of the broadband anti-reflection coating and the deposit of the water-repellent layer respectively.

“SPECTRA” is a basic BROADBAND AR COATING for all common substrate materials for example mineral glass and for customer’s hard coated lenses i.e. CR39, PC, and High Index Materials and Transition lenses.

This is the only available process for cut lenses and unfortunately, due to complex process procedures, we cannot offer any form of guarantee. Glass cut lenses are covered by our normal process guarantee.

Spectra Plus M.A.R

“SPECTRAPLUS” is our Hard Coated Anti-Reflective Coating for all types of plastic lenses.

It is most important that when applying a multi-layer Anti-Reflective Coating to plastic lenses a good solid base should first be applied. “SPECTRAPLUS”

Specifications include a unique Hard Coat formula which when applied to your lenses gives that solid base required ready to receive our multi-layer Anti-Reflective coating.

Spectrum Direct team of highly experienced technicians have invested both time and money into developing “SPECTRAPLUS” which is a solution for to-days thinner and higher index lenses.

History tells us that Optical Lenses such as 1.56, 1.6, 1.66, 1.67, 1.74, Transition and R.L.X. have been recognised as problem lenses with a high percentage of coating failures. We believe that “SPECTRAPLUS” will alleviate these problems.

Why confidence has in “SPECTRAPLUS” Lenses are manufactured with a hard coating lacquer on both surfaces. Subsequent machining removes the Hard Coating from the back surface leaving the lens exposed. Normal Anti-Reflective coatings applied to these lenses are at risk of failure. “SPECTRAPLUS” process removes all original remaining lacquers and applies a new coating of a lacquer especially developed by our technicians. Our new lacquer has been manufactured by using a special “Formula” of solutions only available at Spectrum Direct Limited.

“SPECTRA-X” coated lenses use an advanced Anti-Reflective technology by eliminates virtually all lens reflection. It is one of the first coatings that truly fits today’s busy lifestyle.

“SPECTRA-X” coated lenses use the most advanced technology from 5 major companies to eliminate the performance issues of previous AR coating. The lenses have better protection against scratches and are easier to keep cleaner than ordinary AR Coatings.

Our lacquer with additional primers and unique formula has a MAR applied then in the state-of-the-art CCS II pro and finished with a King clean topcoat.King Clean, the new super hydrophobic and oleophobic topcoat developed by Umicore Thin film products, exhibits superior properties and lifetime than standard hydrophobic coating materials:

King Clean coated lenses are easy to clean since they repel liquids, smudge, and dust.

King Clean film maintains their good clean ability even after abrasion.

Eyeglasses coated with King Clean are easy to handle because there is virtually no slippage during cutting and edging.
